[This reading draws on Judeo-Christian spiritual language; feel free to reinterpret.]
After a week of hard truths, today we quench our thirsty souls. Our invitation is to practice stillness and to draw living water from the eternal source, the Fountain of divine love and spirit that is available to us for relief at all times.
ACE OF CUPS
“Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.” Rev. 22:17
“Whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:14
Every hour is a new hour. At every passing moment, a new opportunity arises for us to connect with the deepest parts of our spirit, that part that is one with the Source of all being. Whether we undergo moments of quietude or of turbulence; if we quiet or minds, and still our emotions, we turn within and reach for the sweetness, for the peaceful abiding that constantly wells up inside all living beings. If you don’t know how, you can just ask. Spirit always listens, and responds. As children of the Light, we inherit a connection to the Divine that no thought or circumstance can erase. As we delve within, we reach a sacred space. There, there is healing for our wounds. There is peace for our troubled hearts. There is joy for the soul.
THE FOUNTAIN
“Be still, and know that I am God” – Psalm 46:10
“The Fountain” card has a simple message: “Be”. Seems so simple, but to simply “be” takes practice. Be still this day, allowing your incessant thoughts to drift away like plumes of smoke; permitting turbulent emotions to calm down into stillness. Just breathe, and through your breath touch the Breath of the entire Universe, the river of pure being of which we are all part of. Be still, and fall into Oneness. Be still, and realize who you are. Be still, and know. Be quiet, and awaken.
The fountain of life is within you, always available. Take the cup of stillness, and drink from it. Be healed. Be safe. Be love. Be well! Peace.
