One of the things that I read in A Course in Miracles that stayed with me the most was something along the lines of, “in any situation, what we seek is peace.” That rang so true for me. Amidst all relationships, all situations, all scenarios, every interaction, every goal, every work… what I seek is a calm, quiet heart. From the peaceful heart, so many potentialities arise: love, joy, contentment, passion, courage…
With that in mind, when I pulled the Ace of Swords and the King of Swords this morning, a message came clear to me “Be steadfast in your commitment to the peace of your mind.” The Ace of Swords here could represent this awakening, this realization of the fact that we seek deep peace in all we do. The King of Swords, on the other hand, shows a beautiful embodiment of that principle, and represents an individual who has learned how to keep thoughts, dreams, and mental patterns in alignment with the ultimate Truth that all is well and that we are one with Spirit and that nothing—absolutely nothing—can ultimately hurt us. Our pure Being cannot be threatened. Pure Being is all that is ultimately real. And nothing real can be threatened. And nothing unreal exists. Therein lies the Peace of God.
Keep alert watch over your mind, so that you may intercept any arrows of hurt, suffering, fear and rage. When rage arises, remember peace. When fear consumes you, remember peace. When the pain throbs, remember peace. Remember peace, remember peace…
